I'd like to try my hand at doing Criterion-style case covers, but for the Respecialized Editions of the films. Noriyoshi Ohrai, he also did some poster work for the Metal Gear and Godzilla franchises.ĮDIT: I see that you already got the information, my apologies. While it's a photoshop poster, and I usually hate those, it's definitely got a great layout to it. Author EyeShotFirst Time 10:23 PM Post link I thought it was time to revisit these again.Ī significant improvement over the BD versions, as you can probably tell. So, I decided to tweak it a little bit again (If George Lucas can do that, I can too!) Well, a while back I realized that people have been used these designs as the official posters for articles around the web. The idea was to make modern Struzan-style posters for the original trilogy that could work individually. Its the prequel-style version of the original trilogy. Has anyone in here made a cover for a 6 disc blu ray case? I think it’s the director’s prerogative, not the studio’s to go back and reinvent a movie." - George Lucas

A hundred years from now, the only version of the movie that anyone will remember will be the DVD version, and you’ll be able to project it on a 20’ by 40’ screen with perfect quality. Even the 35 million tapes of Star Wars out there won’t last more than 30 or 40 years. It plays music and browses the web, so I'm not completely without. My main rig is on it's last leg, and the laptop I'm using is so old it can barely process enough data to do simple tasks. I'd like to get back to making covers, but it just isn't possible at this point. It's a lesson that I wish I didn't have to learn. I'm still pissed about all that was lost on it. As for the large drive that failed, I'm getting a replacement eventually. There are many great adapters that turn adapt SATA drives to USB, so that's an option. The plan is to eventually build a better computer and just use my smaller hard drives for keeping copies of my important documents. Thank you! It's a big relief to know that even if the drive fails, I still have copies in various places now. Star Wars DVD Covers - 4,589 RepliesĪuthor EyeShotFirst Time 1 8:25 AM Post link
